Feed My Starving Children Image

Your Instructors are fighting hunger by participating in our annual Staff Serve day at Feed My Starving Children this Sunday, February 23!

Our Mission

National Karate endeavors to be the best martial arts school in the country by teaching cutting edge self-defense and building confident people.  But we want to be more than just a place that teaches kicking and punching.  We want to positively impact the community and the world through our schools by serving our community.

Local

We work hard all year at many local community service projects such as raising money for pediatric cancer with Cal’s Angels Foundation and raising money for fighting Breast Cancer through local charity Patty’s Pals.  We also do lots of volunteer classes for Boy Scouts and Girl scouts, children with disabilities, and other community groups.  We collect food for local food pantries, and volunteer at local churches for Bible camps just to name a few.

Global

Our global project is to help feed the poorest of the poor through Feed My Starving Children.  This is an organization that had a food mix designed by food scientists at Cargill and General Mills to meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children.  Each meal has 20 different vitamins and minerals that are specifically tailored to meet a child’s nutritional needs for one day.

Packing the Food

The food is produced in bulk and volunteers measure, weigh all the ingredients of the food pack and then box them to be shipped overseas.  Our instructors will be donating time and work to prepare and pack the food.  It’s actually really fun to have us all join together for a good cause.

Paying for the Food

NK students have been filling coin jars in the school and National Karate will match all donations.  I am really amazed at the generosity of our students and in only a week and a half most of the coin jars are already full of coins and dollars!

Thank You!

I want to thank our students and staff for their generosity in their time and resources to make the world a better place!
