As 2025 comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude as we reflect on a truly meaningful year at National Karate Chicago. This year marked our 30th anniversary, a milestone that gave us the opportunity to look back on how far we’ve come—and more importantly, the lives that have been shaped along the way.

Over the past three decades, our mission has remained the same: to help people of all ages build confidence, discipline, and character through martial arts. In 2025 alone, more than 1,000 students grew stronger—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally—through consistent training and encouragement from our instructors.

This year, 165 students earned Black Belt and higher degrees, representing years of perseverance, resilience, and commitment. These achievements remind us that progress isn’t instant—it’s earned through steady effort and support.

We were also honored to be named one of the Top 100 Small Businesses in America, and to be voted the Best Martial Arts School in the Chicago Suburbs for the 14th year in a row. These recognitions reflect the trust of our families and the dedication of our incredible staff.

Speaking of staff, our 40 instructors continue to be the heart of our schools. Beyond the dojo, they generously donated dozens of free safety seminars to Scouts, women’s groups, schools, and daycares—extending our impact far into the community.

This year brought some unforgettable moments, including congratulatory messages from martial arts legends Chuck Norris and Martin Kove, and the humbling honor of Master Nelson being inducted into the Diamond Nationals Hall of Fame. We also surpassed 1,000 five-star Google reviews, each one a reminder of the relationships that make our work meaningful.

As we celebrate 30 years, we do so with deep appreciation for our students, families, instructors, and community partners. Forty instructors. Countless lives transformed. We are proud of what we’ve built together—and excited for what the future holds.

Thank you for being part of the National Karate Chicago family.
