Staff_JeffSJeff Siegrist began his martial arts training in the summer of 2001 under the instruction of JR Hutson. He was promoted to 1st degree black belt on January 10, 2004. He currently holds the rank of 4th degree black belt. Mr. Siegrist began teaching as an assistant to Mr. Hutson at the Lifetime Fitness in Bloomingdale while still training for his 1st degree. Since attaining his black belt, Jeff has joined the NK instructional staff and he continues his training under the direction of Master Cristian Nelson. Jeff along with his wife Jane (4th degree) are the Exam Coordinators for National Karate of Illinois and are responsible for directing the Black Belt Exams held twice per year. Jeff has been recognized with the Outstanding Instructor Award 2010 – 2013.

Mr. Siegrist says this about teaching at Natioinal Karate, “Few things in life are more rewarding than to help someone else achieve their goals. I am rewarded in this way every time I succeed in helping a student with some part of their martial arts training.”

When he is not training or teaching, Jeff is an electrical engineer with 24 years experience designing electronics for amusement games and the casino industry.
